PE kit expectations
King Edward VII School has a proud tradition of excelling in sporting endeavours.
We offer a wide range of opportunities for all students to see the value in a healthy and active lifestyle, along with the opportunity for them to compete at the highest level.
Part of our success is down to students being fully engaged in a wide and varied curriculum which helps to broaden sporting horizons and motivate students to participate in extracurricular activities. It is because of this we have the following expectations.
Expected items for every student every lesson:
- School logo t-shirt
- School logo jumper/PE ¼ Zip Top
- Plain navy/black shorts*
- Red football socks
- Change of footwear
*Option of plain PE Encore training trousers/plain Falcon leggings for girls only.
All the above can be ordered from:

Other important items for safety in certain sports:
- Gum shield/mouth guard (hockey, rugby)
- Shin pads (hockey, football)
- Moulded boots are mandatory for PE lessons when playing on Grass/Astro (hockey, football, rugby)
All the above can be ordered from suppliers such as Decathlon and Amazon.
Please note, for health and safety reasons all jewellery must be removed for every PE lesson, without exception, and finger nails must be cut short.
Expectations
It is expected that every student arrives to lesson with appropriate attire for the activity and the environment.
If a student needs to be excused from activity through illness or injury, they need to bring a note from home explaining the problem. The student will still be expected to get changed into PE kit and take on a different role in the lesson, i.e. official or coach.
