Foundation Learning is a practical and ‘hands on’ course based in and out of the classroom. It will allow students to work towards Entry level qualifications, which focus on developing essential skills.

• Working with others
• Improving their own learning
• Research
• Discussion
• Presentation skills

As well as gaining the qualification, students will gain skills to help them succeed in other subjects and progress at the end of Year 11.

Assessment

The course is assessed through ongoing assignments over the two years to create a portfolio of work accredited through Pearson (Edexel). There is no examined content.
