Below are the key dates which you need to be aware of in the KS4 options process:

Tuesday 6 January 2026

Year 9 reviews will be sent home to parents/carers

Wednesday 7 January 2026

Online parents' evening from 4.30pm. At the parents’ evening you and your parents will be able to discuss your progress in each subject and to obtain some general advice about your future potential.  In the weeks after the parents’ evening, some of your lesson time will be about subjects and choices for year 10. 

Monday 12 January to Friday 25 January

Time in class will be dedicated to learning more about subject options. If you have any general enquiries, please contact Mr Gardiner or Mrs Proost at Lower School. 

Monday 26 January 5.30pm - 7.15pm at Lower School

Please attend this evening with your child to listen to presentations from key members of staff on the options process and the expectations for Key Stage 4. A presentation from Mr Gardiner, Assistant Headteacher, Key Stage 3 will be held in the hall at 5.30pm and 6.15pm. You are welcome to attend either presentation. You will also have the opportunity to visit classrooms to speak to subject teachers.

Tuesday 27 January to Tuesday 10 February (two weeks)

Students to make their final choices.

12 February 2026

This is the deadline for when you need to inform School of your final choices. The process for this will be explained by your teachers.
