    We have a vacancy for a confident, enthusiastic Examinations Administrator to provide high quality support to our Examinations Team at our Upper School site.

    The post holder will be required to assist the Examinations Administration Manager with all aspects of School external and internal examinations for Key Stage 4 and 5. This will involve assisting with the organisation of examination entries and sessions, preparation of timetables and the distribution of results in conjunction with the data team, along with day-to-day organisation of, and support to, examination invigilators. The role will also require the post holder to undertake general administrative/clerical duties.

    • be a skilled ICT practitioner, with excellent Microsoft Excel skills
    • have very good interpersonal skills
    • have a strong organisational ability
    • be able to work flexible hours especially during the exams period

    Applicants must have a good working knowledge of the whole suite of Microsoft Office software and be comfortable using Word and Excel extensively. We use SIMS as our main management information software and whilst familiarity with this piece of software is not essential the successful candidate must be able to learn quickly as they will use this central source of management information on a daily basis.

    This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate. As the post will involve regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you are included on the children’s barred list held by the DBS.

    Amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are “protected”. These are not subject to the disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found on the ministry of justice website or see here.

    Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process. If your application is successful, this self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure and Barring Service before your appointment in confirmed. We will perform online searches as part of due diligence for all shortlisted candidates.
