Enrichment opportunity for students

Students visit Thornbridge for outdoor challenges

A group of 24 Year 7 and Year 8 students were given an incredible opportunity to take part in a residential visit to Thornbridge, recently. As part of our funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport through UK Youth, the one-night, two-day residential was fully funded, ensuring that all pupils were able to take part and benefit equally from this enrichment opportunity.

During their stay, pupils challenged themselves through a range of outdoor activities including high ropes, cargo net climbing, team-building tasks and wheezling. Many pupils pushed beyond their comfort zones, developing confidence, resilience and independence in a supportive environment.

The shared experience strengthened friendships, improved communication skills and created lasting memories. This residential highlights the School’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities that build character, confidence and aspiration beyond the classroom.
