Online Safety
- Parental consent must be given if students are involved in photographs and recording materials.
- Students must inform staff if they see or receive inappropriate messages via email, mobile phone or social media. We ask students to report this immediately and we will inform a trusted adult in School, and or the Police where applicable
- Staff will deal with these matters as appropriate and necessary. Sometimes, this will include working with and seeking advice from external sources
- We take ALL forms of bullying (including online bullying) incredibly seriously. We ask parents and carers to be vigilant and ensure they monitor behaviour and the devices their children use to ensure they are safe and free from any form of bullying or messages displaying inappropriate content
- King Edward VII School will circulate a monthly Online Safety Newsletter and teach students about Online Safety in a number of curriculum areas
- Ensure that online safety and the dangers from Artificial Intelligence continue to shape the PSHE and IT curriculum and links to the DfE Generative AI Guidance for schools and colleges
