We expect that all students will complete at least one week of work experience before the autumn half term of Year 13. You will be allowed leave of absence from School to complete work experience. It is obviously better if you can arrange this in the holidays so that you don’t miss lessons, or as a regular commitment on a weekly basis at a time when you have no lessons.

The benefits of work experience include

• Testing out and developing career ideas
• Gaining an understanding of the workplace to talk about a application or a interview
• Helping you to stand out in competitive application processes
• Developing a network of contacts
