Headteacher's Community Drop In Meeting - Cancelled tonight

Unfortunately, and reluctantly, the Headteacher’s Community based drop in meeting at Sorby House this evening, scheduled to take place from 6pm to 7pm, has had to be cancelled in light of the deteriorating weather conditions and the amber weather warning issued by the Met office.

The Y11 Parents’ Post 16 Transition Evening on Wednesday 25 September 2019 is cancelled due to the external facilitator being unavailable. The event will be re-arranged.

Tuesday 3 September 2019 is the start of the new School year for students in Years 7 to 11:

  • Year 7 8.50am – students to go straight to the main hall

  • Year 8 10.05am – students to go straight to the main hall

  • Year 9 10.40am – students to go straight to the main hall

  • Year 10 10.00am – students to wait outside in front of the main steps to be called into the assembly hall

  • Year 11 11.00am – students to wait outside in front of main steps to be called into the assembly hall

Post 16 - Year 12 and Year 13

  • Monday 2 September 2019 1.00pm - 4.30pm – Year 12 BTEC Enrolment

  • Tuesday 3 September 2019 8.45am - 4.30pm – Year 12 Enrolment

  • Wednesday 4 September 2019 8.45am-4.30pm – Year 12 Enrolment; from 1.00pm enrolment for those on waiting list

  • Friday 6 September 2019 - Year 12 Induction Day at King Edward VII School from 11.00am - 3.00pm

  • Monday 9 September 2019 – lessons start for Year 12 and Year 13 students; attend tutorial registration at 8.50am to collect timetable

Opening for A level and GCSE Results

A level results – Thursday 15th August

School will be open to pupils from 07.00.

Collect your results from the ILC before 12.00.

If someone is collecting results on your behalf they will need a signed letter from you. There will be staff available to give advice about clearing, remarks and progression. Clearing through UCAS will be live from 07.00 so prompt applications are advised.

Exams Department staff will also be available 08.00 - 12.00 on Friday 16th to process priority remarks.

GCSE Results – Thursday 22nd August

School will be open to Y11s from 09.00 and Y10s from 10.00.

Collect your results from the ILC before 12.00.

If someone is collecting results on your behalf they will need a signed letter from you. There will be staff available to give advice about Sixth Form applications, remarks and progression.

Exams Department staff will be available 08.00 - 12.00 on Friday 23rd to process enquiries about GCSE and A Level remarks etc.

If you have applied to the Sixth Form please confirm your place in the Library.

If you are an external applicant please e-mail a copy of your results slip to p16admissions@kes.sheffield.sch.uk

We hope to reply to enquiries on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August.

We currently have a waiting list for some subjects but will be able to confirm waiting list places from 13.00 on Wednesday 4th September.

School will be closed for all enquiries after Friday 23rd August.

After that point we will respond from Monday 2nd September.

King Edward VII School will finish at 12.25pm on Wednesday 24 July 2019.  This time is different to the time previously published.

 

Students can stay on site for lunch, as usual, if they wish to do so but should make their way home after this.
