King Edward VII School is committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our students and staff.
The emotional health and wellbeing of all members of King Edward VII School including staff, students and parents/carers is fundamental to our philosophy.
King Edward VII is part of Healthy Minds which is a School-based project which aims to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people. It puts emotional resilience at the heart of the children’s health and wellbeing and recognises its impact on their learning, attainment, behaviour and future employability. Healthy Minds forms an important part of Sheffield’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Strategy for Children and Young People which was developed by Sheffield City Council and the Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group. The Healthy Minds Project is led by Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust CAMHS team working with Schools across the city.
King Edward VII School's culture is supportive, caring and respectful. We encourage students to be open and we want each student to have their voice heard and to receive the necessary support and signposting.
At our School we know that everyone experiences different life challenges, and that each of us may need help to cope with them sometimes. We understand that anyone and everyone may need additional emotional support. At our School, positive mental health is everybody’s responsibility. We all have a role to play.
We are in the early stages of setting up the Healthy Minds Programme at King Edward VII School and this page will be updated and reviewed as the project progresses.
